GFL Environmental is moving forward in it’s plans to place a facility that would take food waste and turn it into nutrient rich fertilizer in Hanna.
At the May 11 Town Council meeting CAO Kim Neill noted that GFL was holding a virtual public engagement meeting on May 19 at 6:30 p.m. to allow residents to hear more about the project.

If all goes as planned Neill said there would be an offer to purchase coming to council at their June 8 council meeting as well as a development agreement.

Jen Koppe and Paul Conrad from 818 Studio Ltd. gave Hanna Town Council an update on their progress on the downtown rejuvenation project at the April 28 meeting.
Conrad informed council that they did engage individuals in the community who did respond to their survey, however said there was a sense of impatience from those who responded.
