TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Some changes are coming to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Officials announced in a news release they are changing both the food bank’s hours and locations for the new year.
Starting Thursday, Jan. 7, the Community Food Bank will return its Country Club location and double the hours for food distribution in Tucson.
“Moving back to our Country Club location allows us to grow our hours and offer people more options for when to pick up their monthly food box,” CEO of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Michael McDonald said.

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will return to distributing emergency food from its location at 3003 S. Country Club Road on Thursday, Jan. 7.
This will shift the distribution from Kino Sports Complex, where the agency has been conducting two-times-a-week food distributions since May. It will remain a drive-through distribution at the Country Club location.
The food bank will also expand the number of hours it distributes food once it shifts to the Country Club location.
Beginning Jan. 7 emergency food will be available from 8 am. to noon Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This is an extra day of food distributions as well as additional hours.
This list of things to do around Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and more includes virtual events by local businesses and organizations, drive-in movies, open-air events and markets.

The Community Food Bankâs five resource centers will be closed for food distributions and other services from Dec. 25 to Jan. 3.
People who need monthly food boxes are encouraged to pick them up at the centers before the closures.
The closure means there will be no food distributions at the Kino Sports Complex on Tuesday, Dec. 29, and Thursday, Dec. 31. Currently, distributions at the complex are held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Food distribution at Kino will be extended by one hour on Thursday, Dec. 24, with food boxes available from 8 a.m. to noon.
