Dr. Abdullah al-Washmi is appointed secretary-general of the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language. Riyadh - Asharq Al-Awsat
Saudi Minister of Culture and head of the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language’s broad of trustees Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farahan announced on Sunday the appointment of Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi as secretary-general of the Complex.
Al-Washmi is tasked with implementing the Complex’s aim of serving the Arabic Language and supporting Arab language applications.
Al-Washmi boasts extensive experience as an Arabic language teacher and administrator in Arabic language organizations. He has served as the president of the Literary Club in Riyadh and as a member of a number of cultural, media and academic committees. Honeywell has been awarded a major contract by SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCO) to supply connected control, telecommunications, safety and security systems for the King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services shipyard being developed by Aramco in Ras Al-Khair.
When completed, the complex will be one of the largest shipyards in the world. It will be automated using a range of Honeywell technologies designed to make the facility’s operations safer, more efficient and secure. The suite of systems will be integrated into the complex by SEPCO, the project’s main engineering procurement and construction contractor.
