Police have confirmed that there have been a few incidents of properties in the Red Zone being burglarized since the La Soufriere volcano began erupting on April 9.
Commissioner of Police, Colin John told THE VINCENTIAN that police had received five reports from the Northwestern and two from on the Northeastern sides of the Red Zone.
Minister of National Security and Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves had earlier (April 14) provided insight into the two events on the Northwestern section. He reported then that the police had intercepted two individuals who had arrived on the Leeward side of the island by boat, with the intention of breaking and entering persons’ homes.
