Toni Storm is coming to the WWE SmackDown brand.
During this week’s episode of SmackDown, a vignette aired hyping that Storm would be “coming soon” to the blue brand. We reported earlier today here on eWn that due to Bayley’s injury, some plans may be changed for some incoming talent. With that being said, we saw a vignette for Toni Storm as well as Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox appearing on SmackDown this week. );
Storm, who won the 2018 Mae Young Classic, has been working on the WWE NXT brand after she returned to the United States in October. She is a former WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion and also worked the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Smackdown is about to be hit by a Storm, specifically one of the Toni variety. On Friday’s episode, it was announced via a vignette that NXT star Toni Storm is “coming soon” to the brand.
Storm, the 2018 Mae Young Classic winner and a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, has been working in NXT since returning to the US in October and was a part of the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match. You can see the vignette below:
No official start date was announced, but just coming soon.
Storm has been involved in two dark matches in recent weeks against both Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox.
On this past week s NXT, she cut a promo on Women s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and was also asked about Sarray wanting a match against her. Storm blew it off and declined even though it appeared an angle was being started in that direction from the week before.
Born Toni Rossall in New Zealand, the 25-year-old started her WWE run in 2017. The 2018 Mae Young Classic winner held the NXT UK Women s title for most of 2019 before losing it to Kay Lee Ray. She was part of the 2019 Survivor Series NXT women s team and was also in the 2020 Royal Rumble. She has been in NXT since October 2020.
