Share Princeton seniors Ysabel Ayala and Cierra Moore have received the Martin A. Dale ’53 Fellowship to spend a year after graduation pursuing a project of special interest to them. Kenji Cataldo, a member of the Class of 2020, received the fellowship last year. The fellowship, created by 1953 Princeton alumnus Martin Dale, provides a $35,000 grant for a senior to spend the year after graduation on “an independent project of extraordinary merit that will widen the recipient’s experience of the world and significantly enhance the recipient’s growth and intellectual development.” Twenty-four Princeton sophomores (listed below) also received Dale Summer Awards in 2020 and 2021.

Supervisors appoint members to Solano redistricting advisory panel FAIRFIELD Solano County supervisors on Tuesday appointed 14 of 15 representatives from their five districts to the 2021 Redistricting Advisory Committee. Board Chairman John Vasquez’s appointments were not included in the written material, but he announced Steven Greenberg and Lois Cross will be two of the members. He said he is waiting to hear back from a third person. Vasquez represents the 4th District. Supervisor Erin Hannigan, for the 1st District, appointed Tiffanee Jones, Mary Ann Buggs and Cassandra James. Participants were encouraged to use a specific musical work as a point of reference. Six students were named winners after two rounds of judging the anonymous submissions the first by Princeton University Concerts staff, and the second by Wendy Heller, the Scheide Professor of Music History and department chair; Wallace Best, the Hughes-Rogers Professor of Religion and African American Studies and director of the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies; and Dorothea von Moltke, owner of Labyrinth Books.
