Enid Police Searching For 2 Suspects Caught On Camera Breaking Into ATM In Stolen Truck

By: Hunter McKee ENID, Oklahoma - Enid police are in search of two burglary suspects after video captures them breaking into an ATM.  It happened at a bank near Willow and Cleveland Street just after 3 am Sunday, when police were alerted by an ATM alarm. They arrived and found the ATM had been broken into, said Cass Rains, with Enid Police. And the door was located out in the parking lot. The Stride Banks surveillance video caught a black Ford F-350 driving up as two masked suspects got out and started prying the ATM loose with crowbars. They then used a chain attached to the back of the truck to rip the door open.

Enid Man Found Trapped In Trash Truck, Arrested On Complaint Of Public Intoxication

Enid police arrested a man found trapped in a garbage truck early Monday morning. The man was taken to the Garfield County Jail and booked as “John Doe.”  According to police, the suspect has not been identified due to being asleep most of the afternoon. The driver of the garbage truck called 911 after hearing someone inside the back of the truck around 5 a.m. at the McDonalds on Garriott Road in Enid. Once officers arrived, the Enid Fire Department followed suit. “Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get this guy down this ladder once we get it up here?” an Enid officer is heard on bodycam asking firefighters. “He’s combative.”

UPDATED: Woman trespassed from Enid Suddenlink for refusing to wear mask

ENID, Okla. — A woman was told to leave Suddenlink Communications after causing issues because she refused to wear her mask inside the Enid store last Friday. The incident is the first and only report so far related to the city of Enid’s mask mandate, which went into effect Dec. 2, according to Enid Police Department. At 2:38 p.m. Friday, Enid police officers responded to a call of an unwanted guest who was causing issues at the business, 2312 W. Garriott. According to the incident report, Officer William Butler made contact with a Suddenlink employee, who said she asked a customer to put on a mask, per store policy, but the unnamed woman said she had a right not to wear it. After a few minutes back and forth, the employee called the police. Four additional officers also arrived at the scene.
