Israel reopened the fishing zone in the Gaza Strip Thursday after three days of closure, following hostilities between Israel and the Strip over the weekend.
The fishing zone was opened to 15 nautical miles from the shore. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories said, The reopening is conditioned upon the maintained calm and stability along the border.
No rockets were fired toward Israel on Wednesday. On Tuesday, only two rockets were fired and both fell back within Gaza. Over the weekend dozens of rockets were fired toward Israel from the Strip, and the Israeli army attacked Hamas targets in Gaza.

The Israeli military says Palestinian militants fired a rocket from Gaza into the country s south Friday, the second incident in 24 hours. The rocket caused no damage or injuries. In response, Israeli fighter jets and helicopters hit five sites of the militant Hamas group, which controls the Gaza Strip. There were no reports of casualties in the air raids, which the Israeli military said targeted a training site, weapons manufacturing facility and a factory producing building materials for for attack tunnels, among other targets.

JERUSALEM, Israel – The Israel Defense Forces said it struck Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip Thursday night in response to rocket fire earlier in the day.
The IDF carried out at least six strikes targeting a weapons smuggling tunnel, a munitions manufacturing site, and a military post.
The rocket launched from the Gaza Strip hours earlier landed in an open area in Israel’s south. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
No Palestinian terror group claimed responsibility for the rocket, but Israel holds Hamas responsible for everything that happens in the coastal enclave.
The IDF also said an unarmed Palestinian man was arrested after he infiltrated into Israel from Gaza.
