Maryam tells institutions to follow Nawaz s narrative

Daily Times PML-N leader says the narrative built by Imran Khan has fallen flat on its face July 13, 2021 PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Monday called upon the state institutions to follow former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s narrative if they want the country top move on the path of progress and prosperity. “If the country is to move on the path of prosperity then the narrative of Nawaz Sharif needs to be adopted… the time is not far away when everyone will be following it,” she said while addressing a rally in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Leepa Valley ahead of July 25 elections. “My father is a patriotic Pakistani and his criticism should not be considered against institutions but rather against certain people,” she said. “A few individuals create propaganda against the former premier. However, his only crime is talking about the wellbeing of the masses,” she added.

Photo courtesy National Assembly Twitter ISLAMABAD: There was unanimity of views among lawmakers belonging to the treasury and opposition in the National Assembly on Monday that politicians were mainly responsible for the lack of civilian supremacy in the country, but they toed their respective party lines and hit out at each other while explaining reasons for it. The main opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was of the view that there could be no civilian rule in the country without giving “respect to vote” and ensuring fair and transparent elections whereas the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) called for ending corruption and hereditary politics for establishing civilian supremacy in the country.
