Share Judge Brad Henley Honored With Hall Of Fame Award The Greater Hubbard Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently selected Judge Bradford (Brad) L. Henley as its 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame honoree. He was awarded at the chamber s annual banquet held this month. A longtime Hill County resident, Henley was recognized for being active in various area endeavors and continually striving to make Hill County a better place to live. He was born October 21, 1940, in Malone to H. F. and Rosella Henley. He attended Malone Elementary School and transferred to Hubbard High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation, he attended Angelo State College in San Angelo from 1958 to 1960. While there, he loved to rodeo and ride bulls in addition to studying. He also met the love of his life, and he and his wife Patsy were married on October 2, 1960, in Sonora.

A patrol from the local RIC barracks (the former St Mary’s Secondary school on the Cork Road) is described by the Irish Military Archives as comprising of sixteen men, RIC, Tans, and Auxiliaries, armed, some with rifles, some with repeating shotguns, and some with revolvers.

New Minnesota Record - St Charles Cattle Company s $280,000 Bull

In St. Charles, Minnesota, there s a cattle company that holds an annual production sale.  But at this year s Heim Cattle Company production sale, one of their bulls set a record. A BIG record. It sold for what is thought to be the highest price ever seen in Minnesota. At the 7th Annual production sale, owner Nathan Heim watched a group of seven ranches buy the bull for the astonishing price of $280,000. Records show Ankony Angus, Galaxy Beef, Leachman Cattle Company, Mogck & Sons, R.A. Brown Ranch, TD Angus, and Thomas Angus Ranch were those seven ranches. The sale is enormous, but was that Heim s favorite part of the day? Nope. The  heifer give-away is his favorite part. From his website.
