Plans are now underway by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT Chapter and Football Coaches Association in Abuja to organise a one-day friendly in honour of Late Olusegun Ogunjimi, a sports reporter with the Nation.
Chairman of SWAN FCT, Ndubueze Chidoka, who disclosed this in a press statement on Wednesday said the encounter will take place on Thursday March 4, 2021, two days before late Ogunjimi is laid to rest.
The game will be played inside Area 3 playground, Abuja as from 3pm.
The sports journalist who died on February 10 will be buried on March 6 at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.

Clemson Athletics Black History: Jeff Davis
Jeff Davis was the defensive captain of Clemson’s 1981 National Championship team when he was named the ACC Player of the Year. The starting linebacker led the team in tackles with 175 and was a huge reason Clemson ranked in the top 10 in the nation in scoring defense and total defense.
Davis was a consensus All-American in 1981, as he was selected first-team All-American by UPI, Football Coaches Association, Football Writers and the Walter Camp Foundation.
In 1995, Davis was inducted into the Clemson Ring of Honor at Memorial Stadium. In 2003, he was named to the ACC’s 50-Year Anniversary team, then four years later, received the ultimate honor with his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (vcsuvikings.com) – Valley City State University head football coach Dennis McCulloch was named president of the NAIA Football Coaches Association on Tuesday.
McCulloch, who previously served as a vice president for the past six years, was elevated to president during annual coaches meetings conducted this week.
As president of the NAIA Football Coaches Association, McCulloch will help represent NAIA coaches on important issues and communicate their thoughts with the national office. The coaches association is the main voice for NAIA football coaches, bringing forward different proposals or rule changes for consideration.
