WATCHLOI is set to conclude coverage of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division at the mid-season break.
The SSE Airtricity Premier Division fixtures will be streamed live on a new platform after the mid-season break meaning the innovative WATCHLOI offering will cease its coverage of the Premier Division on Saturday, May 29.
The Football Association of Ireland and RTÉ Sport, in collaboration with GAAGO, successfully partnered to deliver the WATCHLOI broadcast platform to provide supporters access to Premier Division matches during the COVID-19 pandemic. The action was brought after some 280,000 files covering a 17-year period were seized by the ODCE as part of its investigation into the FAI.
The High Court will receive a report next week with recommendations about what documents seized by the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) from the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) should be deemed covered by legal privilege.

FAI confirms most welcome news from Government as contact training returns from Monday

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has confirmed that all players at all levels of football in Ireland can engage in full contact outdoor training in pods of 15 from Monday, May 10, under the new Government guidelines.
Adult amateur and Youth (U19) teams return to training from Monday and the FAI has confirmed with the Government that all teams can engage in contact training.
FAI Head of Grassroots Ger McDermott said: “We have informed all our clubs today (Wednesday) of this most welcome news from Government. The return to training for our adult amateur and Youth (U19) teams will now coincide with the return to contact training in pods of 15 for all our players. We have updated our Safer Return to Training Protocol to reflect this and have shared this with our clubs and made it available online at www.fai.ie.
