There seems to be an app for just about everything, and today the “Socaloca” mobile app and web-based system was launched by the Football Federation of Belize. It is designed for athletes, coaches, as well as team managers and tournament organizers to create profiles showcasing their skills, stats, videos and progression in the sport. According to the F.F.B., Socaloca will help with the networking players need to be scouted, or just improve on their skills.

Meet the Coaches for the Youth Football National Teams
The Football Federation of Belize recently announced the appointment of three head coaches to lead the continued development of the sport at the youth level. All are trained and licensed coaches from Trinidad as well as Belize, and included in the line up is female head coach Iris Centeno. News Five’s Duane Moody met the coaches this afternoon in a virtual session.

Nicholas Ara was named head coach for the U-fifteen national team back in December 2020, but over the past few days, the Football Federation of Belize announced that Trinidadian John George and Belizean Iris Centeno will head the U-eighteen men and the U-seventeen female national teams, respectively. It’s a mission by the youth development programme that is being undertaken to get these nationals team to no longer participate, but compete in international tournaments.
