LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The White House has announced plans for President Joe Bidenâs trip to Lake Charles and New Orleans Thursday.
According to the White House, the President will travel to Lake Charles, Louisiana, as part of the Getting America Back on Track Tour.
The White House says the President will deliver remarks on the American Jobs Plan near the Calcasieu River Bridge at approximately 1:25 p.m.

President Joe Biden warned Thursday that Congress needs to adopt his multi-trillion dollar spending plans to renew the US economy because China is eating our lunch.
Speaking in deep-Republican Louisiana, Biden pitched his $2.3 trillion infrastructure proposal as a way to secure US preeminence on the global stage as much as fixing dangerous bridges and roads.
The plan is popular among Democrats but Republicans in Congress either oppose what they see as an uncontrolled spending spree or are proposing something far more modest.

Joe Biden on Thursday night returned to the White House after a trip to Louisiana to tout his $4 trillion infrastructure plan.
The president spoke earlier in Lake Charles in front of a 70-year-old bridge that is 20 years older than its intended lifespan.
The bridge is part of Interstate 10, a critical east-west artery for transportation and commerce in the heart of the country s energy corridor, connecting Houston to New Orleans, a route lined with petrochemical refineries. It shouldn t be this hard or take so long to fix a bridge that s this important, said Biden. It makes no sense. But the truth is, across the country, we have failed to properly invest in infrastructure for half a century.
