CHARLOTTE, N.C. Brian Burns is a movie buff. There’s little the Carolina Panthers defensive end likes more than going to the theater when there’s not a pandemic or sitting at home watching favorite flicks such as Major Payne, Blue Streak, Training Day, Avengers: Endgame, Friday After Next and Transformers.
Burns likes Major Payne so much he dressed up as the Damon Wayans character for Halloween. Based on the video posted on Instagram, he pulled it off, down to the dance moves.

The New Orleans Saints fell to 10-3 with an upset
loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last week that snapped their nine-game winning streak. To get back to their winning ways, and clinch the NFC South title, the Saints must overcome the explosive offense of the 12-1 Kansas City Chiefs at home this Sunday.
New Orleans had a poor outing defensively against the Eagles, despite facing a rookie quarterback in Jalen Hurts who was making his first start. The Saints still come into this game with the NFL s 2nd ranked overall defense, allowing 299 yards and 20 points per game.
Jarrett (groin) was limited in practice while Mack sat out to get some rest, not for injury reasons. Rookie defensive tackle Marlon Davidson (knee) also sat out. Fullback Keith Smith and linebacker Mykal Walker were limited Wednesday but both returned to practice as full participants.
Like on Wednesday, receiver Julio Jones (hamstring), cornerback Darqueze Dennard (quad), safety Ricardo Allen (concussion) and tackle Kaleb McGary (personal matter/not injury-related) did not practice Thursday as the Falcons continued to prepare for Sunday s home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The biggest news from Thursday s practice report was cornerback Jamel Dean returning to a full capacity in practice. Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles said Thursday that they re still uncertain of Dean s status for Sunday s game in Atlanta but Thursday s practice was a step in the right direction for the second-year corner who has missed the last two games.
Conversely, defensive lineman Steve McLendon was downgraded to a non-participant as he battles an elbow injury. McLendon was a late addition this year after the team lost Vita Vea for the season following Week Five in Chicago. McLendon has filled in well in a familiar system, knowing Bowles from their days in New York together. McLendon has been in the rotation along with Rakeem Nuñez-Roches next to defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh to make up for Vea s absence, leading a unit that still ranks first against the run.
