The CW s Walker Releases First Trailer
The CW said goodbye to
Supernatural earlier this year, but fans will soon be reunited with Jared Padalecki on the network. After the actor parted ways with Sam Winchester, the star will return to TV shortly as Cordell Walker in a reboot of the classic
Walker, Texas Ranger drama. This new series will put Padalecki in a very different role from what fans saw back in
Supernatural, and the first trailer for this new series has gone live.
You can check out the trailer above as it begins with Walker introducing himself to fans. It doesn t take long to learn the ranger s wife was killed recently, but it seems something is off with the situation. Walker isn t convinced his wife s death is what is appears, and this first trailer teases how far he will go to find the truth.

Walker.
A reboot of
Walker, Texas Ranger, Padalecki says goodbye to Sam Winchester and hello to Cordell Walker, a Texas ranger who returns home to Austin, Texas, after being away on an undercover mission and is haunted by the death of his late wife, Emily (Genevieve Padalecki). As he digs into the circumstances surrounding her death, Cordell becomes convinced there was more to her death. It s been a long road to get here, but it has my entire heart, Padalecki tweeted Monday morning, along with the first teaser for his upcoming drama series.
Sinister. The production company has signed a first-look deal with Scott Derrickson (
Doctor Strange,
The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and C. Robert Cargill s (
Doctor Strange) production company, Crooked Highway, to develop projects for television, in addition to the few they already have in the works.
Among the projects currently in development is
Full Body Burden, which is inspired by Kristen Iversen s book of the same name and tells the true story of a deadly government secret hidden in the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant just outside of Denver, Colorado. Also being developed is
Midnight Radio, which follows the tale of an off-the-grid radio host slowly beginning to connect the dots between all the various supernatural experiences developed by his callers.
