Empty Bowls sets drive-thru for February 20

Courtesy-Empty Bowls FB page COLUMBUS, Ind. – Like most things with the pandemic, the Empty Bowls annual fundraiser has had to get creative with its approach. This year’s 23rd annual event is a drive-thru, at Donner Center on February 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. Empty Bowls raises money for six area food pantries and shelters. In addition to a hot meal of homemade soups and bread, you can purchase bowls made by local potters. An online auction to support the cause starts February 5, but you can view some of the items here. Proceeds from Empty Bowls 2021, including the auction, will be donated to six area organizations addressing hunger and homelessness in Bartholomew County: Love Chapel (including Brighter Days), Horizon House Homeless Shelter, Community Center of Hope, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, Salvation Army, and Thrive Alliance.
