GALION Despite the fact that it’s been closed for more than a year, the people behind the scenes at the Galion Community Theatre (GCT) are still trying to make a difference in the local area.
The theatre was forced to shut down after the COVID-19 pandemic made its way to Ohio in March 2020. All productions and programs have been sidelined since then.

It’s been quite sometime since productions have been staged at the Galion Community Theatre. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the arts and entertainment venue close its doors last year and funds have been tight. The theatre received a COVID-19 relief grant from the Community Foundation for Crawford County in the amount of $21,417, which officials said will help replace some of the income lost due to being closed. Cast members from the 2019 production of “Little Shop of Horrors” are shown in this photograph.
