CHRISTMAS, Fla. – A 39-year-old Titusville woman was killed early Thursday when her car struck a tree in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck was reported at 4 a.m. on Colonial Drive east of St. Nicholas Avenue near Christmas.

The FHP said the woman was driving east on Colonial Drive when her car left the road for an unknown reason and hit a tree.

FHP spokeswoman Lt. Kim Montes said the woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
