Popular Jiu-Jitsu Dojo can be found in Zanesville
ZANESVILLE – Justin Cable opened Gracie Allegiance in the Colony Square Mall last year. He was concerned with opening a new business during such uncertain times but he’s enjoyed success since opening the gym. He talks about how long he’s been practicing the martial art.
“Jiu-Jitsu has been a part of my life since the early 2000’s. I started training and I used to drive to Cincinnati (and) Columbus from Marietta which is like a 3 hour drive to train. I’ve been beat up. You know, it’s had a lots of ups and downs. It’s been a journey and I fought MMA for a while. If you want to teach something you’ve got to be able to do it,” Cable said.

Some last minute Christmas shoppers can be found at Colony Square Mall
ZANESVILLE – “Mrs. Claus” and “Santa Elf” walk through the mall nearly every day. They’re going all out to spread Christmas cheer in whatever little way possible.
“Lighting up; telling people Merry Christmas. You know, just being an inspiration to people, passing out lottery tickets (and) trying to spread joy. It’s been such a rough year for everybody,” two walkers going by “Mrs. Claus” and “Santa Elf” said.
For some, it’s more about the shopping.
“Just last minute supplies and Bath and Body Works and some sporting goods,” local resident Logan Scott said.

Santa’s Elves at the Colony Square Mall
ZANESVILLE, OH – If you have been to the Colony Square Mall recently, you may have seen a couple of Santa’s Elves running around spreading Christmas cheer.
Silver and Belle are part of Santa’s Elite Lookout Force, or ELF for short. At the mall they have been tasked with spreading the joy of Christmas, if you can’t make it to the mall Silver and Belle can visit you virtually.
“We’re mainly at the mall but we’re doing virtual visits, and you can checkout our website to do that… You go to silverandbelle.com and you can find ways to send us letters, ways to schedule a virtual visit, ways to get an in-person visit, and everything in-between… Definitely make sure to check out our virtual visits because it’s really hard for Santa to get to some places this year. We want to make sure that people have a way to tell Santa what they want for Christmas through the Elves,” Silver the Elf said.
