A group of House Republicans sent a letter Wednesday to Acting Inspector General Diana Shaw, calling for an investigation into former Secretary of State John Kerry’s ties to Iran.
The Daily Caller first obtained the letter which was spearheaded by Missouri Rep. Ann Wagner, who was joined by Kentucky Rep. Andy Barr and New York Rep. Lee Zeldin. In the letter, they mention a New York Times report that says Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a leaked audio recording that Kerry informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria over 200 times.
The Biden administration has defended Kerry, saying he discussed facts that were widely known at the time, and Kerry himself denied he had ever revealed Israeli secrets, either when I was Secretary of State or since.
The allegations were made public in a recording of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who in a conversation last month with economist Saeed Leylaz said Kerry had informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian assets in Syria at least 200 times.

Republican reactions to reports of Zarif s recollection of the events have varied from calls for Kerry to resign, to calls for an investigation.
