Remote learning invoked for Bedford High School and Junior High

Some of Monroe County s schools, specifically buildings in the Airport, Bedford and Dundee districts, temporarily have reinstated remote learning because of a recent spike in local COVID-19 cases. Bedford Public Schools has suspended in-person learning at Bedford High School and Junior High through March 19, because of a significant increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases.   The announcement was made late Wednesday and began immediately, expected to last through March 22. There are no changes for Bedford elementary students at this time. Airport Community Schools issued a similar announcement Wednesday, calling for a pause to in-person learning at Sterling Elementary and Airport High School through March 19. Parents whose children ride the bus to and from school, and will still be in class at the other buildings, are asked to be on the lookout for bus stops 20 minutes earlier than usual during that time.
