Manitobans can once again gather in small groups outdoors starting this weekend, as provincial health officials say they expect daily COVID-19 case counts to continue to drop but warn the number of people in ICU remains "extremely high."
There’s been a surge in COVID -19 cases in South Africa, with over 8,000 infections recorded over the last 24-hour cycle, while 127 people have succumbed to the virus.

CAPE TOWN - Two hundred and sixty-seven final-year nursing students from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) will help administer COVID-19 vaccines in the province.
These students have received additional training from the provincial health department on how to inoculate people.
Officials said that this was a major boost as the province’s phase 2 vaccination drive would be scaled up in the coming weeks.
Last week, the Education Department said that it was still in talks with the Health Department to see if teachers could get their jab before primary school pupils returned on a full-time basis at the end of next month.
