The logistics company will establish new operations in Cherokee County. Though that’s nearly 200 miles away from DHL’s 125-acre site in St. George, the investment adds to South Carolina’s growing role in distribution and supply chain management.
The facility is projected to be completed by the third quarter of 2022.

EXETER Wyoming Area School District Superintendent Janet Serino is dealing with a COVID-19 infection. The news was announced when District Solicitor Jarrett Ferentino read the monthly superintendent’s report in lieu of Serino, who did not participate in Tuesday’s virtual regular meeting, and had not participated in last week’s virtual work session.
“As your Superintendent, I have been keeping in touch with the needs of the district,” Ferentino read from Serino’s written report near the beginning of the meeting. “I have been battling COVID for several weeks and I am on the mend. RICHMOND Governor Ralph Northam today announced that DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in contract logistics, will invest $72 million to establish a state-of-the-art distribution operation for its Real Estate Solutions unit in Stafford County’s Venture Business Park. The company will build a 500,000-square-foot high-bay facility with highly mechanized equipment for material handling to serve the Mid-Atlantic region.
