Riding the brilliant play of quarterback Josh Allen last season, the Buffalo Bills finished with an eye-opening 13-3 record. It was their best single-season performance since Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and Bruce Smith were starring in Western New York for legendary head coach Marv Levy back in 1991.
It has been a long time coming for this Bills squad. Heading into the 2021 NFL season and with the offseason heavy lifting pretty much done, the Bills are seen as legit Super Bowl contenders.
However, there are still some holes that could be filled on both sides of the ball in order for Buffalo to replace the two-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs in the conference. With the free-agent market limited, we turn to three potential trades that could put Buffalo over the top.

First-round pick Ja Marr Chase has his eye on the ball.
The Bengals have a plan for each of their rookies and they ve all passed the first test.
The eye test. There weren t any disappointments out there and that s always a good thing, says Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin. They look like they re in shape. There is a plan and design and a hope for all of them, even the college free agents. At least we have some preseason games to evaluate them.
The Bengals didn t have that luxury of a preseason last year and Joe Burrow s class still became their most productive band of rookies arguably ever. The Ja Marr Chase class already has a leg up on them with last Friday s minicamp and this week s workouts in preparation next week s first voluntary camp for veterans and rookies.

For the most part, the NFL rookies who get the most attention are those selected early on in the draft. Quarterbacks also tend to get a ton of play as they prepare for their inaugural seasons in the pros.
With that said, we see mid-round picks excel every single year. We don’t expect 2021 to be the exception to this rule. From a talented wide receiver in Southern California to a few elite-level pass rushers, there will be some surprising rookies moving forward.
Narrowing down that list to teams we expect to earn a playoff spot in 2021, here’s a look at some NFL rookies set to surprise once September comes calling.
