Who has the most career sacks for every NFL franchise? Posted 10 days ago | By Chris Morgan
Since sacks became an official stat in the NFL, it’s been arguably the most-scrutinized and most-celebrated defensive statistic. Who doesn’t love an elite pass rusher? Other than a quarterback, there is nothing a team look for more. How many top picks in the NFL Draft have been pass rushers? While, and we will say this in hushed tones, sacks are a little overrated as a stat, it is always empirically good for a team to take the opposing quarterback down in the backfield. Who leads every team in the NFL in career sacks with the franchise? You will find the answers right here.

RENTON By now, making the playoffs might seem as if it’s just supposed to happen for Pete Carroll’s crew.
Nine playoff trips in 11 seasons can create that level of expectation.
But the Seattle Seahawks haven’t won an NFC West title since 2016. They haven’t hosted a playoff game since beating Detroit on a Saturday night in January 2017.
Copied!
Good morning, 12s. Here s a look at what s happening today – Tuesday, Dec. 22 – for your Seattle Seahawks.
Sports Illustrated s MMQB Lists Seahawks Defense Among Biggest Week 15 Takeaways
Something was off about the Seahawks defense through the first eight games of the season. They faced injuries to Jamal Adams, Bruce Irvin and Marquise Blair, among others. The pass rush wasn t where it needed to be, so John Schneider went out and traded for Carlos Dunlap II. Perhaps most of all, continuity and more practice time in a year where there were limited offseason opportunities has turned the defense s fortune.
In the first eight games of 2020, the Seahawks allowed 30.4 points per game. Over the past six games, that number has dropped to 16.0 points per game to rank first in the league. The defense allowed over 240 passing yards in seven of the first eight games, but has yet to do so in the last six. We could go on and on, but Sports Illustrated s Albert Breer do
Quinton Dunbar Out For The Season & Other Seahawks Injury Updates Injury updates from Seahawks coach Pete Carroll heading into Week 16. Dec 23, 2020 at 02:54 PM Seahawks defensive back Quinton Dunbar breaks up a pass.
The Seahawks host the Rams at Lumen Field on Sunday, and should be getting some players back from injuries, including tight end Greg Olsen. One player who won t make it back this week, or at all this season, is cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who will need season-ending knee surgery, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said.
Dunbar has dealt with a knee injury for much of the year and was placed on injured reserve last month with hopes he could make it back. He did return to practice two weeks ago, but it was later determined the injury will require surgery.

Nine playoff trips in 11 seasons can create that level of expectation.
But the Seattle Seahawks haven’t won an NFC West title since 2016. They haven’t hosted a playoff game since beating Detroit on a Saturday night in January 2017.
So while Seattle’s 20-15 win over Washington on Sunday was important for wrapping up the Seahawks spot in the postseason yet again, what happened thousands of miles away in Los Angeles was even more important.
