ROCKFORD Brother Carlos Chacon and about two dozen of Rockford s faithful attended a community prayer event that filled the breezy air with the sounds of praise and hope Saturday morning at the corner of South Main and Morgan streets.
Chacon of South Side Outreach Ministry and a Spanish language minister with The Salvation Army, said community and faith will bring hope to improve the South Side of Rockford.
Representatives of Gideons International provided free Bibles and The Cross Builder, a nonprofit organization, provided a box of crosses for free distribution.

Emergency, a comedy thriller from Amazon Studios and Temple Hill based on a short film that picked up the Special Jury Prize at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and the Grand Jury Award at 2018’s SXSW Film Festival.
