Further details regarding how police were able to track down the suspects involved in the burglary and fatal shooting of Pop Smoke have come to light.
An LAPD detective testified at a preliminary court hearing for 20-year-old Corey Walker, the only adult suspect in the case, last week. It’s already been reported that the 15-year-old in the case confessed to fatally shooting Pop in the early hours of Feb. 19, 2020, but Walker also confessed to a person he believed to be a cellmate.

Over the weekend it was revealed that last year’s February murder of Pop Smoke was carried out by a 15-year-old kid over a Rolex watch and as shocking as that fact is, more information (or lack thereof) is coming out about that now fateful day in Hip-Hop history.
According to
Vulture, police had trouble finding cooperation during their investigation of the murder and while the internet ran with their own theories and assumptions, the truth was still yet to be realized. Then finally on July 9, LAPD announced that they had arrested five people in connection to the rapper’s murder and charged four of them for the crime: Corey Walker, 19, Keandre Rodgers, 18, and two minors whose names were withheld due to their age.

FARC Takes Hostage Eight Venezuelan Military Officers

CARACAS The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-Peoples Army (FARC-EP), the rogue offshoot Colombian political party that didnt accept the 2006 Bogota peace accords, reported to the Red Cross it had taken eight Venezuelan military officers affiliated with the Nicolás Maduro regime as hostages.
In a letter to the Red Cross International, the FARC-EP labels the men as prisoners of war. The letter was first posted by high-profile Venezuelan NGO Fundaredes and is now being picked up by Venezuelan and international media. However, LAHT could not verify it independently.
