Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes raved about the performances of rookie offensive players Noah Gray and Cornell Powell on Friday.
Mahomes praised both Gray and Powell as guys who could make their presences felt for a Chiefs offense that is already as dangerous as any in the NFL:
“They can work. They know how to get out there and make plays happen. Noah has been really good – I think he has a veteran-type skillset where he knows how to get himself open even if it’s not exactly what the play is designed to do. He knows how to get his eyes back and how to get on the quarterback’s timing,” Mahomes explained, via Matt McMullen of Chiefs.com. “Then Cornell, he’s a beast. He’s big out there, running across the field and making some big catches in some tough, contested spots.”
A recent ranking from Pro Football Focus ranked the Kansas City Chiefs pass-catchers as the third-best unit in the NFL, behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. Is that where they should be ranked?
