A suitor was left stunned by the bride price asked by his would-be father in law during dowry negotiations. According to reports, the man identified as Hussein Maro from Tana River County only asked for Sh7 from the groom’s entourage, leaving them confused.
“My fellow elders, it is a great joy to have my daughter married to a good family. Therefore as my daughter and I had already agreed, we shall take seven shillings,” he said.
