The younger Estrada said that his father is being given a number of medications, including Leronlimab and Remdesivir.
“I consulted the doctors of my dad… they talked among themselves and they agreed to administer Leronlimab to my father,” he said in an interview on ANC’s Headstart.
He said that his father had been given Leronlimab twice already.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had earlier clarified that Leronlimab is not approved by the agency for treatment as it is “an investigational product which is still undergoing clinical trials for the treatment of cancer, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)… and COVID-19.”

This was disclosed by his son, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, in a Facebook post on Friday (April 16).
“We wish to announce that my father had a slight setback last night (April 15) as his doctors found a super imposed bacterial lung infection,” he said.
According to the younger Estrada, his father has been brought back to a non-COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for monitoring and to support his blood pressure.
The lung infection, according to him, caused the former president’s blood pressure to fluctuate.
“But overall, he is stable with high flow oxygen support,” said Estrada.
Former president and Manila mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada has returned to a regular room, according to his son, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, on Wednesday afternoon (April 14).
