Amazon Music is launching a new feature on Android and iOS, called ‘Car Mode.’ The functionality is designed to allow drivers to easily listen to music while in their cars.
Car Mode uses a simplified mobile CX with easy-to-use controls, larger text, and customizable presets to make it easier for users to utilize the app while driving, and more usability for voice assistants.
Additionally, Car Mode makes it easy for drivers to discover new music by adding default music options, including albums, stations, and playlists designed to limit browsing while driving.

(Pocket-lint) - Amazon is updating Amazon Music with a new Car Mode feature that makes the mobile app easier to use while driving.
Car Mode is basically a pared-down version of the existing interface, complete with larger buttons and quick access to suggested playlists, albums, and Alexa. Once enabled, Car Mode shows to halves: The top of your phone offers playback controls, while the bottom has music suggestions you can tap or swipe between. To go completely hands-free, you can activate Alexa in the bottom corner with a tap or by using a voice command.
Apart from that, Car Mode doesn’t add anything new. It simply reworks the UI to make it safer for you to find music or playlists to play without having to take your focus off from driving or the road ahead of you. Amazon has added a new Car Mode to its Amazon Music app, aiming to make it easier to handle playback while minimizing driver distraction. As you’d expect, the new interface includes simplified controls and bigger text to save you from squinting at your smartphone, along with Alexa voice control so that you might not even need to move your hands from the wheel.
Amazon Music Car Mode can be accessed when you connect via Bluetooth to a vehicle’s audio system, either switching on automatically or manually. The functionality is unchanged – the existing app has had things like Alexa support already – but the buttons get bigger, and there are now customizable presets for specific playlists, albums, and streaming stations you often listen to.
