GALWAY CAMOGIE STAR Siobhán McGrath has spoken out about how difficult the Covid-19 pandemic has been for students, who are “all being tarred by the same brush” after recent concerning scenes in Limerick.
A University of Limerick [UL] student, McGrath was asked about last week’s street party near the college during a media briefing yesterday.

GARDAI have arrested five people, dished out 50 Covid fines and seized more than €17,000 worth of cocaine after busting a lockdown-breaking student bash in Co Limerick.
The street party sparked fury as the University of Limerick warned they’ll suspend or expel students who were breaching public health laws at the wild rave.

It comes as the National Public Health Emergency Team warned the Government a number of “significant clusters” of the virus have been detected among college students with 13 outbreaks currently linked to third level education.
