Logan County Department of Public Health is expecting to get the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine by the first of the New Year.
In a statement released Tuesday Kara Davis, assistant administrator and public health nurse, said they are following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines.
“If anyone falls into the categories of EMS or dental and has not yet been contacted by LCDPH, please call LCDPH immediately at 217-735-2317,” wrote Davis.
According to Davis the COVID-19 vaccine is not available to the general public.
“There are priority groups outlined by the CDC and once those groups are vaccinated, the vaccine will be available to others.”
