Greenup County FCU members approve Members Choice merger

ASHLAND With an overwhelmingly positive approval rate, according to Members Choice Credit Union, members of Greenup County Federal Credit Union (GCFCU) voted in favor of the merger with Members Choice.  This was the final step in the approval process and was announced at a special meeting on Feb. 3. The merger will be effective on March 1, with the completion taking place over the weekend of Feb. 26. GCFCU has one location in downtown Russell on the corner of Bellefonte Street and Poplar Alley and will remain open, according to a press release. Kay Thompson, GCFCU Board Chair said, “Greenup County FCU has always kept the interest of our members in the forefront of our minds. The decision to partner with Members Choice Credit union came with much thought and care for our members and staff. They provide exceptional member service with a family-like culture, like us.”

In Fabric, BBC Two, 11.20pm Writer-director Peter Strickland follows the stylised weirdness of Berberian Sound Studio and The Duke Of Burgundy with an off-kilter horror comedy about a desirable red dress that hungers for the blood of any woman that dares wear it. Catalogue model Jill (Sidse Babett Knudsen, who also starred in The Duke Of Burgundy) meets a grisly fate after she slips on the red fabric. The couture becomes an object of obsession for divorcee Sheila (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), who spots the garment in a sale at her local department store. She hopes the striking red dress will empower her to face odious boss Clive (Steve Oram) and wipe the smug grin off the face of her son’s condescending girlfriend, Gwen (Gwendoline Christie). Sheila is completely unprepared for the transformation the frock will inspire or the carnage that will be left in her wake.
