More bad news for embattled star Johnny Depp. Just weeks after being found guilty by the UK High Court of being a wife beater , a judge in his Virginia case against Heard has denied Depp s request to have her $100M countersuit tossed out.
Fairfax County Judge Bruce White says Depp s accusations that Heard s claims of abuse during the couple’s marriage was an elaborate hoax have the ability to injure Heard s reputation . Therefore he is allowing the actress to countersue Depp for defamation.

At around 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, 50 people left the ByTowne Cinema for perhaps the last time, stepping into a wet and foggy Rideau Street following a screening of the 1954 holiday classic White Christmas.
The brightly lit marquee that announced the night’s movie and other fare shown earlier that week Little Women, First We Eat and The Last Vermeer had been updated since these same movie-goers entered the theatre two hours earlier. Years ago, it seemed many people modeled what they consider to be the “golden age” of railroading from the 1930s to the 1950s. Steam reigned supreme back in those days and so it’s easy to see why it’s an appealing setting for a model railroad. As time goes on, it seems to me people’s modeling interests are creeping forward in time. That makes sense, of course, since we all tend to model subjects and eras that are familiar to us, especially things we saw as a kid. But even as more people model the modern diesel era, there is still room for something from classic steam days on our layouts.
