But unfortunately, as we start to go back to a more normal life, that doesn t include animals as a part of it. Unleashed Love Pet Rescue in Comstock Park spoke with WOOD-TV about the issue, and that they are starting to experience people returning the animals they adopted at an alarming rate. Normally, they get about 1-5 owner surrenders over a six-month period. Now, they re getting five or six in a week! The rescue s treasurer told WOOD-TV he thinks it has to do with people going back to work.
