Podcasters save ducklings from Comstock Park storm drain

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. Listeners of the “3rd Person” podcast are regularly along for the ride of adventures of John Robey and Joel Myers. The two carry around a microphone with them during everyday life. But what happened to them during a recent recording was far from ordinary.
Robey and Myers, who live in Kalamazoo, were exploring Comstock Park while waiting to catch a movie.

The West Michigan Whitecaps offseason promotion to the Detroit Tigers’ high A affiliate brought expectations of more top prospects to Comstock Park this season.
The move has already paid dividends now that infielder Spencer Torkelson will be on the Whitecaps’ Opening Day roster. It’s the first time in West Michigan’s franchise history, which dates back to 1994, that the Whitecaps will debut a player chosen No. 1 overall in the Major League Baseball Draft.

COMSTOCK PARK – West Michigan Whitecaps individual game tickets went on sale for the first time in about 18 months Wednesday morning.
Only a limited amount of tickets are available due to coronavirus restrictions, but judging by the sales, Whitecaps officials can confidently report that West Michigan fans are ready for baseball.
