KAJANG: Six local men have been detained in connection with the assault on a foreigner near a shop at Taman Alam Jaya, Batu 9 Cheras, here.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the suspects, aged between 24 and 54 years old, were detained on Monday (May 3) night. Five of them have been remanded for a day while another was released on Monday night itself after his statement was recorded. We are still investigating the matter, he said when contacted on Tuesday (May 4).
ACP Mohd Zaid urged those with information to contact investigating officer Asst Supt Mohd Radzee Jamudi at 019-665 5811 or the nearest police station.
KAJANG: Police have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to shoot his driver, following an argument.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the incident occurred at around 1.22am on Saturday (May 1). The 28-year-old victim lodged a report on the incident at around 9.15am the same day, claiming he had been threatened by his employer at a house at Country Heights here. The two had just arrived at the suspect s house when they began arguing and the suspect threatened to shoot the victim if he left the house, he said in a statement on Sunday (May 2).
He said the suspect also hurled vulgarities at the victim before kicking him in the shoulder.
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Eight men were arrested by the police on Sunday (April 18) to assist in investigations into a fight at a restaurant in Rawang that occurred early Sunday morning.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said four of the suspects, aged between 23 and 29 years old, were arrested at the Gombak police station when they came to give their statements while four others turned themselves in at the same station. We are tracking down several other individuals to assist in the investigation, he said.
In the 1am Sunday incident, a 29-year-old individual was having drinks with his friends at a restaurant in Rawang when a misunderstanding occurred with a group of other men that led to bottles being thrown at his table and when the victim and his friends retaliated by doing the same, a scuffle broke out between the groups.
