JAMMU, Mar 17: A Commonwealth Game medallist and ace fencer of J&K UT, Shreya Gupta brought laurels to J&K UT by winning Bronze medal in Sabre women category of ongoing 28th Junior National Championship, being organised at Rudarpur Utttarakhand.
She defeated her opponents comprehensively to reach the semi-finals round, but in a thrilling semi-final, she lost to her opponent Saniya of Punjab in a very close contest by a narrow margin of 15-14.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shreya secured Gold medal in this event in last year National Championships. Shreya Gupta has won about 22 medals in National level championships so far due to her outstanding performances.
