Queensland s south-east has been hit by severe storms as a wild weather inducing trough travelled across the state.
Damaging winds and large amounts of rainfall did lash areas north of Brisbane all the way down to the New South Wales border, however the region appeared to avoid forecasted hail.
Other areas impacted included Caboolture, Gladstone, Biloela, and between Sarina, Townsville, and Charters Towers.

Brisbane was partly cloudy for most of the morning but has since cleared allowing for a warmer afternoon, hitting a maximum of 21C by 3pm.

The mother of a 10-year-old girl killed after a horror car crash that injured the entire family has revealed the final moments she shared with her daughter, and the heartbreaking way they turned off her life-support.
Sommar Lee, her husband Geoff, daughter Chloe and son Declan, 8, were all in the car when it collided into a tree near Williams, 170km southeast of Perth, on May 30.
The family had to be cut from the car and flown to respective Perth hospitals, with parents and children separated, before Chloe was placed on life support for untreatable head and spinal injuries.
