th New Canaan First Selectman Kevin Moynihan provided a community COVID update reporting 35 new positive test results across all age demographics since last Tuesday s outcall. Moynihan says that although most cases are college-age young adults and middle-aged parents and only one is a senior over age 65.
Cases continue to occur primarily from small gatherings of family and friends; so Moynihan says that New Canaan Health Director wants to remind everyone to please limit the number of people outside of immediate family members that you socialize with. The smaller your circle of contacts the less opportunity there is to being exposed to the virus. Parents are urged to remind your children to not let their guards down when they are in intimate settings of small groups of friends – they should always wear masks and social distance if they want to avoid being infected and bringing the virus home to family members.
