GroomDatGirl supports Ho Female Prison to mark first anniversary By Acorlor Elinam FEB 16, 2021 GroomDatGirl, a Girl-Empowering movement in the Ho municipality, has donated assorted items to inmates of the Ho Female Prisons, in Ho. The items include a bar, liquid and powdered soaps, sanitary pads, toilet rolls, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitizers, face masks, bleaches and antiseptics. Total cost of the package, which includes underwears is GHC1,500.00. The donation, to show love to the vulnerable female prisoners, is to highlight the first anniversary of this budding girl’s group. Benevolent individuals, retail and gift shops, and the Leo of Lions Club supported the group with some of the items.

President Akufo-Addo Pays Last Respect To Former President Rawlings

  President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his wife, on Tuesday paid their last respect to former President Jerry John Rawlings, whose body is lying in state at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The President and Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo exchanged pleasantries with the widow of the former president Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, children and the family. It was followed by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and wife Samira Bawumia. Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, the second president of the fourth Republic, also paid his last respect to his predecessor. Mr John Dramani Mahama, also a former President and Flag bearer of the NDC for the 2020 Election and his wife, Mrs Lordina Mahama, took turns to pay their last respect to the Founder of the NDC.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), on behalf of the people of Ghana, ought to collaborate with organisations like the World Federalist Movement, and the Institute for Global Policy, to hold the Military High Command, the IGP and the heads of all the security agencies, directly responsible, for the killings resulting from the deliberate use of live ammunition, against those protesting against illegalities in the Techiman South constituency. Enough is enough.
