Political Parties Embark On Ghana Peace Walk

  The undersigned Political Party leaders contested in the 2020 General Elections organized by the Electoral Commission (EC) on the ticket of our respective parties are to embark on a Peace walk on Thursday 24th December 2020 at Obra Sport. According to them, prior to the declaration of the Presidential and Parliamentary results  an intense protests and demonstrations erupted in some parts of the country of which some turned into violent. In a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com is said to response to some of the issues whice arose at the just ended 2020 election. . . we have accepted the outcome of both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, a part of the statement read.

10 Parties to meet President Akufo-Addo, Mahama over recent developments

+ Ten of the 12 political parties that contested this year’s elections say they will meet the president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and former President John Mahama to impress upon them to ensure that the country remains peaceful. The meeting, they said, had been necessitated by recent developments over the outcome of the results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) with members of the main opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), taking to the streets in some parts of the country to protest against the decision. The parties to meet President Akufo-Addo and former President Mahama are the All People’s Congress (APC), Convention People’s Party (CPP), People’s National Convention (PNC), Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), National Democratic Party (NDP) the Ghana Union Movement and Mr Asiedu Walker, an independent candidate.

The outgoing Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku has been doing some soul searching since his re-election bid was quashed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ben Ayiku on December 7. As part of his healing process, he called on the former President for spirit re-awakening. In a post on social media, he said he sought counsel from the experienced politician. He wrote “The reawakening you experience when you get the opportunity to meet a Giant few weeks after going through the storm. I thank you H.E JAK for the counsel and compliments. The impact of Yesterday’s encounter shall be with me ad infinitum. His grace is sufficient always”.

Election 2020: NPP’s Alexander Akwasi Acquah tops Eastern Region with over 79% The Member of Parliament–elect for Akyem Oda Constituency in the Eastern Region, Alexander Akwasi Acquah defeated his opponents with a huge margin to land him a seat in Ghana’s 8th Parliament under the 4th Republic come January 7, 2021. The first-time MP, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emerged as the winner in a landslide victory claiming the highest percentage of total votes cast. Out of 33 parliamentary seats in the region, the NPP won twenty-five seats while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took the remaining eight in the just-ended 2020 polls held on December 7.

Election 2020: God placed me in third position for a purpose - Osofo Kyiriabosom Founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Adrews popularly known as Osofo Kyiriabosom has said that he placed third in the 2020 general elections to prevent violence that could be caused by a close number of votes between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). According to him, the number of votes he garnered brought a gap between the NPP and the NDC. Speaking to Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show, he explained that God revealed to him in a dream that the Electoral Commission (EC) would face numerous attacks from supporters of a defeated political party after the elections. He furthered that this violence that was to happen will only be minimal if he joined the contest.
