Harper Woods leaders share ‘New Year’s resolutions’

HARPER WOODS Harper Woods city officials and leaders are looking toward the future and are sharing what their New Year’s resolutions are for 2021 in regard to the Harper Woods community.
John Szymanski, the acting city manager and finance manager of Harper Woods, said there are several projects the city wants to focus on in 2021, including continued economic development of Eastland Center, reimplementing outdoor programs as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, and continued steps to make the city more diverse.
In a public notice published in the Leader last week, Flintshire Council informed readers of the plans. The order stated that the council proposes to make an order to impose a 20 mile per hour speed limit on several roads including; King George Street, Mostyn Street, Woodland Street, Woodland Crescent, Plymouth Street, Unnamed road from junction with Plymouth Street to junction with Victoria Road, Victoria Road, Rowden Street, Beaconsfield Road, Kingsway, Rowden Crescent, Gladstone Street, Garden Way, Queensway, Taliesin Avenue, Mill View Road and Llewelyn Street. WARREN Local authorities are looking for a Warren man wanted on a secret indictment in connection to the Aug. 2, 2020, fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man who was driving a car on Summit Street NW.
Cameron Tillis, 35, of Palmyra Road SW, is currently at large, according to Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Becker. Tillis is being sought by the Youngstown office of the U.S. Marshals Service office.
A secret indictment was unsealed Thursday in Common Pleas Court charging Tillis with aggravated murder, which carries a gun specification, tampering with evidence and having a firearm under restrictions.
Tillis is the second man charged in the shooting death of Delquan Ware, 2951 Linda Drive NW, who was pronounced dead at Trumbull Regional Medical Center shortly after the shooting that happened about 11 a.m. on Summit Street NW near Tod Avenue NW.
