Sky has appointed YouTube executive and former Fremantle chief Cécile Frot-Coutaz to helm its production and development arm, Sky Studios, across Europe as CEO.
In her new role, Frot-Coutaz (pictured) will take on the funding, development, production and commissioning teams for scripted Sky Originals, and work closely with the company’s content leads in each market to deliver documentary, comedy and drama.

UTA Adds Agent Brianna Shebby to Unscripted Television Department

United Talent Agency (UTA) announced Thursday that agent Brianna Shebby is joining the agency in its unscripted television division.
Over the course of her career, Shebby has worked with production companies and talent across film, television, music and sports, including Nobody’s Hero, NASCAR, Lizzo, Pilgrim Studios, Lilly Singh, Love Productions, 44 Blue, Nneka Onuorah, Travis Kelce, Reba McEntire and Stephen Curry’s production banner Unanimous Media. Prior to joining UTA, Shebby was an agent in WME’s non-scripted television department.

Disney Channel in the US has teamed up with food-themed online brand Tastemade for a kids’ baking competition show titled Disney’s Magic Bake-Off.

The 13-episode series will see children undergo a series of challenges as they create ambitious cakes inspired by Disney characters and stories.
Dara Reneé (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Issac Ryan Brown (Raven’s Home) will co-host the show, alongside Disneyland resort pastry chef Graciela Gomez, who will guide the contestants as they bake.
Featuring kids aged 6-14, the show will see three teams of two race against the clock to design a Disney-inspired cake using Tastemade’s recipe videos and a pantry filled with ingredients and surprises.
