Adam Fox Named Finalist for Norris Trophy

Adam Fox was one of the NHL’s top rookies last season, ultimately snubbed with a fourth place finish in Calder Trophy voting, but this year he has turned the tables by securing a Norris Trophy nomination as one of the league’s top defenders.
April 30, 2019: Traded to #NYR.
May 2, 2019: Signed first pro contract.
June 9, 2021: Selected as a Norris Trophy Finalist.
Fox is the first Rangers defender to be nominated for the Norris Trophy since Brian Leetch who won the award for the second time 1996-97. Leetch finished third in voting the season prior, and also took home the award in 1991-92.
The 2016 NHL Draft saw the New Jersey Devils take nine players, acquire Beau Bennett, and ultimately get a lot of value for who they took. Now that five years has past, let us look back to evaluate how the Devils did with that draft.

One of the New York Rangers 2018 first round picks, Nils Lundkvist was announced as the winner of the Salming Trophy this past April. It goes to the best Swedish-born defenseman in the SHL as chosen by Bjore Salming himself. Nils led all defenders in goals with 14 and power play goals with 8.
