RICHMOND, Va. A Richmond nonprofit that helps new parents with clothes and other items is expanding the area they serve with a new location.
Taylor Keeney is the founder of the
Little Hands Virginia, which serves families in the need across the Richmond area who have newborns up to three years old. We work with newborn to three years old and making sure that they have everything from diapers and wipes to clothes, pack in place for safe sleeping situations, other baby gear that a child might need, Keeney said.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Dozens of people lined up on both sides of Forest Hill Avenue on Tuesday afternoon to protest Ballyâs proposed 61-acre casino resort near Powhite Parkway and Chippenham Parkway.
Protestors stood outside for more than two hours holding signs and rallying for honks in support of their opposition to the project.
Jeanne Walls has been living in Stratford Hills for 40 years and was protesting alongside residents who donât want the casino to come to their neighborhood.

Dozens of residents of the Virginia City of Richmond went out Tuesday afternoon to protest a proposal for the construction of a casino resort in the city’s Stratford Hills area.
The proposal was made by Rhode Island casino operator Bally’s Corporation and was one of the three bids that advanced to the next stage of Richmond’s selection process for a preferred casino developer.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Three casino proposals are up for consideration in Richmond as the community meets virtually this week to hear about their proposed plans.
Ballyâs Richmond Casino Resort is addressing concerns about the traffic impacts of their site near the Forest Hill area.
Andrew Gould, a consultant from Timmons Group that is working with Ballyâs Corporation on their proposed site, says theyâre listening to the feedback and coming up with a plan to address concerns.
Chipotle, 36 townhomes planned for Shops at Stratford Hills expansion

A local developer is preparing to kick off a pair of Southside projects: one that includes adding a new retail strip and a residential element around a Forest Hill shopping center and the other for a dialysis center just over the Lee Bridge.
Harper Associates is planning an expansion of the Shops at Stratford Hills, a retail center the company developed in the early 2000s.
Plans call for a new retail building to be occupied in part by Chipotle, and, if approved by the city, 36 townhomes on a roughly 3-acre plot next door at 6935 Forest Hill Ave.
