Looking back to the 30 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the EU, we can see spectacular and rapid strides in the relationship. From cooperation in some sectors, both sidesâ ties have developed to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) when a new framework cooperation agreement was signed in 2012, replacing the EU-Vietnam Framework Cooperation Agreement inked in 1995.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung highlighted comprehensive developments of the Vietnam-EU relationship and considered prospects for the ties in a recent article published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties (November 28).
Over the past three decades, the diplomatic ties have made rapid, outstanding strides, expanding from cooperation in certain areas to a comprehensive partnership, he said, noting this has affirmed the trust-worthy and friendly spirit and shared long-term vision of the two sides in efforts to elevate the bilateral relations and contribute to peace, cooperation and development regionally and globally.

MONROVIA – The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations has provided US$101,645 to the Benefit Sharing Trust Board of Liberia. The board, which controls funds from logging concessions for communities, has had no funding to carry out its work in the last three years.
“We are happy to be here to witness the signing of this very important project, activity to ensure that in Liberia logging will be reduced and eventually eliminated,” Madam Mariatou Njie, FAO’s country representative, said on Monday at a ceremony at the UN headquarters in Sinkor.
