Motorists have been urged to avoid the area
A man has crashed into a tree on a busy Herts road causing huge delays.
An incident on Hempstead Road in Watford, Hertfordshire, was reported at 7.24am today (Friday, March 12) and the road has now been completely closed.
The busy stretch is currently shut off between the Hunton Bridge roundabout from the M25 to Courtlands Drive.
The affected road is east of Cassiobury Park and heavy traffic is building from the top of Hempstead Road by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stretching past Heathdene Manor.
